Compensation and Benefits:
The salary for this position is approximately $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include bonus based on performance, competitive salary, dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, training & development opportunities, and the chance to work with a supportive and collaborative team.
Job Description:
As an occupational therapist at OSP Children's Therapy Center LLC, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. You will practice in collaboration with other members of our interdisciplinary team, educating patients, families, and others, directing and supervising support personnel, and coordinating technical, environmental, and financial resources effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of occupational therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that reflect a deep understanding of each patient's age, situation, and discharge plan.
- Regularly revise treatment plans based on patient progress towards stated goals.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all therapeutic activities in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
- Orient, train, and mentor therapy and health care students to achieve expected performance standards.
- Identify areas for performance improvement and implement strategies to maintain best practices within our department.
- Participate in additional departmental, organizational, or network activities aligned with established objectives while embodying OSP's core values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
Qualifications and Experience:
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a graduate degree from an accredited occupational therapy program and relevant experience working in pediatric outpatient settings. A license to practice as an occupational therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is also required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- BLS certification.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the English language.
- Able to work independently, demonstrate self-direction, and contribute as part of a collaborative team.
- Basic math and computer science skills.
- Possess knowledge of occupational therapy evaluation and treatment techniques for managing rehabilitation populations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities for occupational therapy evaluation, interpretation, treatment planning, and execution, taking into account patients' age, psychosocial, cultural, and religious backgrounds.
- Capable of assessing and interacting with patients and families using human growth and development theories, family systems, and cultural backgrounds.
- Safely execute job responsibilities without posing risk to self or patients.
- Flexible schedule adaptability, including evenings, holidays, weekends, and travel as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications, with ability to learn new software.
- Demonstrate high-level service delivery, prioritization, meeting deadlines, and adaptability in changing situations.
