Position Overview:

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist to enhance our imaging services.

As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to operate MRI equipment to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation.

With a focus on patient care, you will deliver MRI services that adhere to professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer service. Each patient arrives at our facilities seeking clarity and reassurance.

You will support patients throughout this sometimes challenging experience by clearly explaining the process and addressing their questions and concerns regarding the examination procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Imaging (90%):
    • Screen patients prior to examinations for any necessary precautions or contraindications, utilizing two patient identifiers to confirm the correct patient and procedure.
    • Prepare and explain MRI procedures to patients, ensuring proper positioning for optimal imaging.
    • Conduct routine and advanced MRI scans on specified body areas for diagnostic purposes, minimizing the need for repeat scans while providing continuous support to patients during the procedure.
    • Adjust MRI scanning parameters as required to achieve high-quality images.
    • Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
    • Adhere strictly to physicians' directives and safety protocols to safeguard yourself, patients, and coworkers.
    • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
    • Keep the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and staff.
    • Ensure compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
    • Maintain MRI equipment in optimal condition, performing cleaning and disinfection after each use.
    • Uphold all HIPAA regulations.
  • MRI Department Support (5%):
    • Assist in updating the imaging protocol manual and implementing software upgrades.
    • Monitor inventory of medical supplies and request replenishments as needed.
    • Support the training of new staff by providing resources and technical guidance.
  • Additional Duties (5%):
    • Complete other assigned tasks as necessary.
