Job Summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a skilled X-ray Technologist to join our medical imaging team at our Ambulatory Care Center location. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality diagnostic images, providing quality patient care, and working collaboratively with our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain patient care by performing examinations, identifying relevant data from images, and communicating pertinent information to healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in crafting a culture of patient safety, demonstrating knowledge of emergency preparedness, and verifying patient identification and documentation.
  • Achieve quality diagnostic images through accurate patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
  • Ensure patient data integrity by accurately completing computer functions, editing, scheduling, billing, status changes, and image transfers in a timely manner.
  • Participate as an active team member, orient and mentor new employees and students, and participate in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position.
  • Clean and maintain rooms and supplies, and provide coordinated services with customers and care partners to ensure high-quality care.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Correctly operate equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines, identify and respond to equipment problems, and maintain a high level of proficiency.
Qualifications
  • Current ARRT Registration
  • BLS - must be current before date of hire and from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Associate Degree from accredited school (preferred)
  • 1-year experience as a technologist (preferred)
