Pacific Autism Center for Education is a non-public K-12 School located in California, serving students with autism.

We are seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and provide specialized services to students who require support with speech and language development.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and a valid California license from the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board.

The estimated salary for this position is around $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

This is a full-time position that requires working with students who have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that include speech and language therapy.

The SLP will conduct assessments, write comprehensive reports, and consult with teachers and parents to develop effective service delivery plans.

The caseload is typically 10-15 students, allowing for a manageable workload and opportunities for collaboration with colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and write comprehensive school-based reports
  • Consult and collaborate with parent/teacher/IEP team regarding service delivery modifications, accommodations and/or generalization of skills
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Valid California license from the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board as a Speech Pathologist
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including speaking, writing, listening, motivating, inspiring, collaborating, delegating
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and follow-up with multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Proficiency in understanding and utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) methods
Work Environment

This position requires working in a school setting, interacting with students, teachers, and parents, and maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.

The SLP must be able to comply with the physical requirements of the job, including lifting and pushing equipment, and demonstrating behavior management techniques when needed.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong organizational abilities and technical proficiency in AAC methods.
