Position Overview:

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will operate under the guidance of the Medical Clinic Director, contributing to the Medical Clinic's mission through the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, comprehensive medical services to the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan and eligible individuals.
  • Conduct patient interviews and examinations, review medical histories, and perform necessary diagnostic tests.
  • Order and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures to identify early signs of health issues.
  • Provide after-hours, weekend, and holiday telephone support for clinic patients.
  • Conduct regular visits to community care facilities and make home visits as required.
  • Ensure effective communicable disease control through screening, treatment, education, and documentation.
  • Assist in emergency situations, providing life-saving interventions and preparing patients for hospital transport.
  • Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
  • Participate in assigned meetings and collaborate with staff to develop and implement specialized programs and clinics.
  • Prescribe and adjust medications as necessary, ensuring accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record.

Work Schedule:
1st Shift, Monday to Friday
