BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a committed full-time Emergency Service Head to lead our team of emergency clinicians, specialists, and administrative staff.

The successful candidate should possess a DVM from an accredited institution, have completed a residency or internship, and have a minimum of three years of experience in emergency veterinary medicine, ideally with prior leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Emergency Service Head include:

  • Overseeing the scheduling of all emergency clinicians, including managing requests for time off.
  • Organizing regular meetings for emergency clinicians and actively participating in hospital leadership discussions.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to emergency clinicians and new ER/ICU support personnel, managing case evaluations, and ensuring seamless integration of emergency and specialty services.
  • Assisting in the establishment of patient safety protocols, contributing to the recruitment of new emergency clinicians, and addressing client service concerns.
  • Collaborating with hospital leadership to pinpoint areas for enhancement in emergency patient care and client service quality.
  • Working closely with the Medical Director and management team on various operational matters and overseeing capital investments for the ICU/ER department.
