Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our team at New Perspective Senior Living LLC. This role is essential in providing high-quality dining experiences for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to established culinary standards and recipes as directed by the Culinary Services Director.
  • Comply with all food safety regulations, including ServSafe and local health guidelines.
  • Maintain a hygienic and safe kitchen environment.
  • Modify food items to meet the dietary needs of residents with allergies or specific dietary restrictions.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure optimal food service temperatures.
  • Support fellow culinary team members during food preparation and assembly.
  • Ensure thorough cleaning and sanitization of kitchen equipment and workspaces.
  • Accurately measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to specified recipes.
  • Utilize various cooking methods including steaming, grilling, boiling, baking, and frying.
  • Inspect food and ingredients for quality and freshness.
  • Present and garnish dishes attractively.
  • Work efficiently under pressure and within designated timeframes.
  • Delight our residents and guests with exceptional culinary creations.
  • Gather resident feedback and provide meal suggestions to the Supervisor.
  • Foster a positive team environment filled with joy and collaboration.
Job Type:
  • Part-Time (Weekends)
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED, as required by state regulations.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, or senior services environment.
  • For Chef positions, a minimum of two (2) years of cooking experience or completion of culinary training/certification in commercial food preparation is required.
