Position Overview:
2nd shift - $17.50/hour
This role is eligible for sign-on bonuses totaling $500 ($250 after 30 days; $250 after 90 days), in addition to quarterly performance incentives and monthly attendance bonuses.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a professional kitchen setting, with a strong eagerness to learn, develop skills, and collaborate with the culinary leadership team to craft menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and the restaurant's concept.
The Culinary Specialist will assist the culinary leadership team in the preparation and fabrication of food products for various kitchen operations, including cafeteria, banquet, dining room, and fine dining services.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop knowledge and skills in various cooking techniques (banquet food preparation, grilling, sautéing, and frying).
- Gain experience using knives and various kitchen equipment.
- Read and replicate recipes accurately.
- Maintain consistency in all food preparation tasks.
- Learn to minimize food waste through effective cross-utilization.
- Collaborate with a world-class culinary team.
- Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking tools.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking (e.g., chopping vegetables, cutting meat).
- Maintain a sanitized and organized kitchen environment.
- Ensure proper storage of food and other items.
- Take responsibility for the quality of ingredients used.
Qualifications:
Previous culinary experience is required.
