Job Summary

As a Transportation Specialist at Bethesda Corporate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of residents to and from scheduled activities. This position requires a high level of customer service, as you will be interacting with residents, family members, and other employees on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport residents to and from scheduled activities, such as medical appointments and activity department-sponsored field trips
  • Assist residents in and out of the vehicle and assist them with their belongings
  • Safely operate the vehicle, following all traffic signs and signals, including posted speed limits
  • Perform minor maintenance on the vehicle, including refilling windshield washer fluid, checking oil and tire levels, and keeping the vehicle clean
  • Communicate professionally with residents, family members, guests, other employees, and management
  • Record and report incidents and concerns per established policy
  • Attend all required meetings and training sessions
Requirements
  • High school diploma required
  • Current Class E license required
  • Six months of job-related experience
  • General knowledge of the St. Louis, MO area
  • Organizational skills
  • Customer service skills
Working Conditions

This position requires long periods of sitting, walking, pushing residents in wheelchairs, lifting, bending, stooping, and moving objects. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations is essential.
