Job Summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Pharmacist to join its team at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) at its 76th Street location. As a key member of the pharmacy team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Specialty Central Fill area, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the Specialty Central Fill area, including staffing, scheduling, and personnel management.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve pharmacy operations, including inventory management, customer service, and staff performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Pharmacist License with the PA Board of Pharmacy.
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • At least 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience, with each residency year counting towards experience.
  • PGY1 Pharmacy Residency (preferred).
  • PGY2 Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency (preferred).
