The Project Engineer plays a crucial role in the execution of civil construction projects. This position involves collaborating with both Project Management and Field Operations teams to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of project tasks and timelines.
- Utilize CAD design expertise and construction estimating skills to support project objectives.
- Process and manage detailed project design documentation.
- Create precise construction CAD models to facilitate project execution.
- Employ AutoCAD Civil3D for site layout and 3D surface modeling.
- Gather and analyze data from field supervisors to produce accurate as-built drawings.
- Provide engineering support throughout various project phases.
- Acquire necessary design and survey control files for advanced grading machinery and GPS operations.
- Implement innovative design techniques and procedures in assigned technical areas.
- Conduct cut/fill analyses and earthwork take-offs.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is preferred.
- Experience with CAD software, Microsoft Excel, estimating, land surveying, and/or field operations.
- Familiarity with civil engineering infrastructure projects, including paving, concrete, water, sewer, grading, drainage, and utilities.
- Ability to interpret and understand consultant drawings and reports.
- Knowledge of estimating processes and AutoCAD design functionalities.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
The Project Engineer will be offered a competitive compensation package, including:
