Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Service: Install, service, and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meet all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Pre-Installation Planning: Review orders, gather equipment and supplies, and coordinate schedules with customers to ensure smooth and efficient installations.
  • System Design and Installation: Plan and install fire alarm systems by surveying and evaluating locations, identifying installation requirements, and laying out equipment and wiring plans.
  • System Testing and Verification: Test fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and identify and correct any problems.
  • Record Keeping and Communication: Maintain accurate records of installations, materials used, and any problems encountered or identified with the alarm system.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive relationship with customers.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Fire Alarm Technician required.
  • Skills: Strong customer service skills, NICET certification highly preferred, Notifier experience highly preferred, and ability to read and speak English.
  • License: Valid driver's license with a good driving record required.
