Job Summary

UHealth Tower is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse 2 to join our team in the PACU department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients' conditions, documenting nursing care and reporting symptoms and changes in patients' condition and vital signs.
  • Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses, conditions, and physician orders.
  • Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
  • Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Prepare patients for and assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering patients' age and culture during patient treatments.
  • Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support and performing appropriate patient tests and safely administering medications within the scope of practice.
  • Administer and maintain accurate records related to medications and treatments as per regulatory bodies, policies, procedures, and physician orders.
  • Communicate plan of care in a timely manner to patients and families, as well as the appropriate team members, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Registered Nurse License and Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care methods and procedures, and health and safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Excellent patient experience skills, ability to recognize, analyze, and solve problems, and ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
