Registered Nurse 2

UHealth Tower is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse 2 to join our team as a Clinical Leader. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The ideal candidate will have excellent patient experience skills, the ability to recognize, analyze, and solve problems, and the ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Assess assigned patients and evaluate plans to include documentation of nursing care. Report symptoms and changes in patients' condition and vital signs. Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses, conditions, and physician orders.
- Diagnostic Testing: Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic tests to assess patient's condition.
- Collaboration and Communication: Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals related to assigned patients to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Prepare patients for, and assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments. Consider patient age and culture during patient treatments and provide any needed information regarding treatment plan.
- Medication Administration: Perform appropriate patient tests and safely administer medications within the scope of practice. Administer and maintain accurate records related to medications and treatments as per regulatory bodies, policies, procedures, and physician orders.
- Discharge Planning: Use available resources to assist in discharge planning. Plan, prioritize, and adjust assignments to accomplish goals and render superior patient care; seek assistance when needed.
- Leadership and Development: Serve as a preceptor and assist new staff in the provision of care in order to help them acclimate to the healthcare environment, and a direct patient care role. Provide concise and constructive feedback when needed.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Certification and Licensing: Registered Nurse License; Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes: Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care methods and procedures, health and safety guidelines and procedures, excellent patient experience skills, ability to recognize, analyze, and solve problems, ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships, ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
