Position Type: On-Site
Clearance Level: HSPD-12
Salary: Competitive Range between $16.44 and $18.44 an hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance with the Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD) 12 and Federal Information Processing Standards 201 (FIPS).
- Expert management of the PIV Program, VA Fingerprinting & Badging Appointment System, and associated PIV functions.
- Thorough identity verification for applicants, ensuring adherence to established standards.
- Effective execution of the fingerprinting process for VA personnel, contractors, and affiliates, utilizing advanced fingerprinting technology and following OPM guidelines.
- Identity validation through comparison of photographs and government-issued identification.
- Personalization, production, and verification of identification cards.
- Maintenance and operation of fingerprinting technology, with regular data transmission to OPM.
- Support and administrative assistance for the PIV Program Specialist and Supervisor.
- Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of employment processing documentation.
- Providing technical assistance and customer service to resolve various transactional issues.
- Collecting and analyzing data on service trends and customer preferences.
- Assisting clients with the complaint filing and appeal processes for minor disputes.
- Conducting external complaint investigations and engaging with personnel outside the immediate organization.
- Ensuring document and report accuracy, with data entry into tracking systems.
- Processing suitability/personnel security documents in accordance with established protocols.
- Effective utilization of computer network systems for information tracking and reporting.
- Acting as a liaison for the customer service logistics department.
- Employing office automation software for producing various deliverables, including letters, reports, spreadsheets, and database updates.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen to apply
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Must successfully pass an HSPD-12 background check.
- Must not have any prior or current felony convictions
- Must have prior experience and proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PDF)
