Job Description:
The Medical Equipment Service Supervisor oversees the logistics of medical device delivery and retrieval while managing the personnel responsible for these operations.
Key responsibilities include maintaining the inventory of medical devices, managing supplies and transportation resources, collaborating with management to enhance customer satisfaction, and serving as the authority on equipment handling, assessment, and training.
Responsibilities:
Leads and guides delivery and processing teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
Guarantees timely and respectful service is provided to all clients, whether in person, via phone, or through other communications.
Utilizes effective conflict resolution techniques.
Collaborates with Technical Services, Account Executives, and Operations Managers during customer engagements.
Assists in managing district and customer service initiatives in the absence of the Operations Manager.
Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of medical devices.
Handles issues related to missing or lost equipment, software updates, and accessories.
Conducts regular reviews and audits of inventory.
Maintains and upholds DOT certification.
Oversees shipping/receiving, requisitions, and purchase orders.
Educates customer service personnel on the cleaning, testing, and inspection of medical devices.
Recruits and nurtures customer service talent.
Ensures precise and timely documentation for billing and compliance with regulations.
Performs additional assigned tasks.
Knowledge and Physical Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old, with a preference for an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
1-2 years of supervisory or customer service excellence experience preferred.
Familiarity with the healthcare sector, particularly with hospital medical devices, is advantageous.
Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Availability for flexible working hours, including on-call duties, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Possession of a valid driver's license and eligibility for DOT certification.
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk significant distances, and lift or push up to 75 pounds.
