Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Psychotherapist to join our innovative Pediatric Behavioral Health Integration (BHI) program. This role offers the flexibility of a remote position, focusing on delivering virtual Collaborative Care to patients aged under 21.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide virtual therapeutic interventions to pediatric patients experiencing mild to moderate behavioral health challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively with psychiatric consultants and pediatricians to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in an interdisciplinary team approach, working alongside pediatricians and psychiatrists to deliver brief behavioral health interventions and medication management.
  • Utilize video consultations to extend care across a broad geographic area, enhancing accessibility for patients.
  • Focus on delivering quick and convenient care by emphasizing collaboration, coping strategies, and medication oversight.
  • Administer evidence-based treatment for mental health disorders and substance use issues within a team-oriented environment.
  • Provide individual and family psychotherapy, including crisis intervention services as required.
  • Maintain high standards of care that are safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.
Qualifications

Education/Experience: A Master's or Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology with a minimum of one year of supervised post-master's experience; or a Master's degree in social work with at least two years of post-master's experience in a mental health or chemical dependency setting.

Certifications/Licenses: Must possess a valid license as a Psychologist or a Licensed Master's in Social Work.

  • Preferred: LMSW with a minimum of two years of outpatient experience.
  • Experience in collaborative or integrated behavioral health care is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Epic software is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Consideration will be given to candidates with at least two years of experience in psychiatric emergency departments or inpatient settings.
