We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administration Team Lead to join our team at MyCareersFuture. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for leading our database administration team and ensuring the smooth operation of our database systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of database administrators to provide Oracle Database, OGG, MS SQL Server, and Maria DB administration and support for our projects and clients.
- Collaborate with application teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
- Develop and implement resource management and optimization strategies through automation.
- Ensure the development and implementation of standards and complex modeling to monitor and enhance database capacity and performance.
- Coordinate with customers and application project managers to implement database infrastructure and setup as per application requirements.
- Plan, schedule, track, and coordinate with project managers and application support for database system version upgrades and database server patches.
- Manage and design database backup and recovery procedures for database recovery and implement monitoring for database backup.
- Assist application teams in troubleshooting application/database-related issues.
- Manage and coordinate with vendors to provide database support for our customers.
- Provide SIT, UAT, and production database application installation, setup, and support.
- Manage and configure database backup and day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in leading and managing database administration teams with strong leadership skills.
- 5 years of database administration experience with Oracle Database, OGG, MS SQL Server, and any cloud databases like Maria DB.
- Knowledge or experience with Oracle Database, Oracle Exadata, OGG, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cloud DB Environment models (DBaaS) is an advantage.
- Experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server database security hardening, monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Ability to coordinate with customers, application project managers, and vendors on database infrastructure setup and installation.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and commit to maintaining optimum database system availability for our customers.
- Strong customer focus with emphasis on commitment to continuous improvement in database system availability and performance.
- Ability to work independently and exemplify good working integrity in a team.
