Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop software using Java and work independently or with a small group
  • Provide in-depth analysis and technical support of the system
  • Perform complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, integration, and user-support
  • Follow specifications to develop or modify functionality within the code
  • Assist with design, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation
  • Interface with other system support groups to resolve problems and improve overall efficiency
  • Design, code, test, and implement tools for automation
Requirements:
  • Java experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced team environment
  • Knowledge of software practices and coding standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root cause, recommend, and develop a solution
  • Background experience in command and control system application development, message translation software, automated test and pipeline development, and experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms
  • Experience with software integration testing, including developing automated test scripts, and experience with risk management frameworks, STIG, and Fortify mitigation
  • Prior experience designing and developing microservices and deploying with containers, and experience setting up a container environment
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working as part of an Agile team
  • Familiarity with Java Spring and containerization tools such as Docker/Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of server-side development and message passing
  • Experience developing enterprise applications and good working knowledge of MS Office products
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasking and use of common software development and management tools
Education Requirements:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, and typically 5 or more years' related work experience.

Pay Rate:

$83.00 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
