Software Test Engineer

RiverTech, an Akima company, is seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to support the DSLM contract in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for verifying and validating software product releases, developing and maintaining software test scripts, and determining the optimal approach to testing complex products or solutions to ensure compliance with applicable specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for integration, functional, regression, and site testing.
  • Identify system and software problems through testing, and record and report test results.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to define testing approaches for validating requirements against developed software.
  • Participate in Agile Software meetings, such as backlog grooming and sprint planning.
  • Map test cases to requirements and acceptance criteria.
Qualifications:
  • BS Degree with a minimum of 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to obtain or possess a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Test script development skills using at least one scripting language, such as Python.
  • Test design, development, and execution.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience developing and executing automated test scripts.
  • Experience on DoD programs and interaction with government stakeholders - SCN experience is a plus.
  • Experience using COTS tools, such as VersionOne, GitHub, SharePoint, and Fortify.
  • Writing custom simulations.
  • Agile Software Development experience.
  • Knowledge of software and database testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Agile software testing strategies.
