Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist II-Diag Ctr Specialist to join our team at Methodist Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, providing support to the MRI staff and Manager, and ensuring the efficient daily operation of the MRI department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess exams performed on an ongoing basis and provide findings and results as appropriate.
  • Assist Leadership in collecting departmental CQI, Radiologist CQI, and ACR in the appropriate time frame.
  • Operate all types of departmental equipment and perform all types of MRI procedures, taking into account patient's age, physical mental and emotional condition.
  • Inform Leadership of all equipment malfunctions and initiate appropriate service calls and maintain documentation of same.
  • Learn office procedures to provide direction and assistance to technical and office staff in the absence of the manager.
  • Assist with orientation and training of technologists on the proper use of all equipment and new procedures instituted in the department.
  • Guide and direct employees as needed to ensure that services to patients and other customers are maintained at an optimal level at all times.
  • Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree ARRT, ARMRIT or Radiology Certificate program is required.
  • 2 years experience in Radiology, CT or MRI required.
  • Certification by ARRT, ARMRIT or Radiology Certificate program is preferred.
