F-16 Lead Sheetmetal Mechanic Job Summary

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled F-16 Lead Sheetmetal Mechanic to join our team at AAR. As a senior member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for coaching and training junior technicians, assisting in the incorporation of new work scope, and identifying opportunities to improve site operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coach and train F-16 Sheetmetal Mechanics to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform complex repairs
  • Assist in developing work cards, work instructions, job aids, and operation sequencing to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
  • Ensure all work is performed according to specification, regulation, and company policy
  • Respond to work orders in a timely manner, with a focus on operations support
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and problem-solving
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in structural aircraft maintenance, with a focus on F-16 sheetmetal repairs
  • Leadership experience and ability to coach and train junior technicians
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret technical documents, including manuals, technical data, and blueprints
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office
Working Environment:

This role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 30 pounds to shoulder height. You must also be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately.
