Nurse Residency Program

The Graduate Nurse Residency position offers a comprehensive training and education program for newly licensed nurses to transition into a home care setting. This 9-12 month program provides a structured learning environment, where nurses can develop their skills and knowledge under the supervision of experienced professionals.
Responsibilities- Coordinate total patient care through assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse to develop skills and knowledge
- Participate in on-the-job training and education programs to enhance nursing skills
- Develop strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Utilize computer skills to access and manage patient information
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university
- Licensure and current registration as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York within four months from date of hire
- Ability to obtain BLS within four months from date of hire
- Valid driver's license and access to a car for work use
The Graduate Nurse Residency position requires adaptability to inside and outside environmental conditions. The role involves working with a variety of patients and families, and requires strong assessment skills, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
