About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Community Medical Centers of Fresno, CA. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and prepare instruments, equipment, medications, and supplies for each case, adhering to doctors' preference cards.
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field and surgical aseptic technique.
  • Assist in transporting and preparing patients for surgical procedures, including shaving, positioning, and draping.
  • Perform first scrub functions and procedures in the majority of surgical procedures performed at the facility.
  • Assist the surgeon and surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, medications, and/or supplies as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED), or Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required.
  • Graduate of a recognized Surgical Technology Program required.
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • One of the following certifications required: CST - Certified Surgical Technologist, TS-C - Tech in Surgery - Certified.
