Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Community Medical Centers in Fresno, California.

Job Summary:

The Certified Surgical Technologist will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, scrubbing in for various cases, and preparing and handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Gather and prepare instruments, equipment, medications, and supplies for each case.
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field and surgical aseptic technique.
  • Assist in transporting and preparing the patient for surgical procedures.
  • Perform first scrub functions and procedures in the majority of surgical procedures performed at the facility.
  • Assist the surgeon and surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, medications, and/or supplies as appropriate.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a recognized Surgical Technology Program required.
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • CST - Certified Surgical Technologist or TS-C - Tech in Surgery - Certified required.
