Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary representative for Patient Relations, collaborating closely with administrative leaders and support specialists.
- Manage incoming calls, document feedback in the designated database, and triage cases to appropriate specialists or resolve straightforward inquiries independently.
- Utilize conflict resolution skills to deescalate situations and make informed decisions regarding urgent matters.
- Maintain adherence to established communication standards while being sensitive to the needs of patients and healthcare providers.
- Work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment, demonstrating flexibility in response to changing departmental priorities.
- Employ critical thinking to navigate complex patient interactions and ensure efficient processing of feedback, complaints, and requests.
- Uphold the principles of Patient Rights and adhere to the Complaint and Grievance Policy, maintaining professionalism and neutrality.
- Engage in continuous education regarding patient rights and responsibilities, promoting compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
- Experience in a high-volume call center environment is essential.
- Familiarity with healthcare management systems is preferred.
- Exceptional active listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal abilities to foster positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Critical thinking skills to identify solutions within established guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of Patient Relations' objectives and relevant federal and state regulations.
- Experience with organizational policies and procedures related to patient care.
- Proficiency in common healthcare software applications.
