Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Systems Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our robotics engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing robotic systems for various operational domains and mission areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop robotic systems, including software and hardware components, to meet specific client requirements.
  • Implement and integrate robotic systems, including actuators, sensors, and control schemes, to ensure proper function and operation.
  • Test and evaluate robotic systems to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement robotic systems that address complex client problems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in robotics engineering, including design, development, and testing of robotic systems.
  • 1+ years of experience in design, development, implementation, evaluation, and support functions of uncrewed and autonomous vehicles.
  • Ability to build, troubleshoot, and repair robotic mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with conducting detailed design of production of uncrewed underwater vehicles based on performance requirements.
  • Experience with using design, modeling, and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, SolidWorks, or MagicDraw.
  • Ability to derive and populate a state space model of vehicle dynamics, pose, and forces.
  • Ability to manage coordinate reference frame transformations and translations, including Body to NED.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred; Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field a plus.

Compensation

Salary at Booz Allen Hamilton is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD).
