Role Summary:

The Project Manager will report directly to the account directors and collaborate with creative teams, marketers, and clients. This position is based in O'ahu.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Manage client relationships and oversee collaboration with the Marketing and/or Communications teams to ensure outstanding service delivery.
  • Project Oversight: Responsible for managing projects for assigned clients, including the development of project timelines, budget management, and vendor coordination. Ensure collaboration with agency team members and vendors to uphold the highest quality standards and achieve established goals.
  • Content Management: Supervise content creation by internal teams and partners both locally and internationally.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hawaiian Studies, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in native Hawaiian organizations or similar fields.
  • Experience working with news media is essential.
  • Agency experience is preferred.
  • Experience in crisis communications is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated history of increasing responsibility and achievements in previous roles.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of Hawaiian history, culture, values, and 'ōlelo Hawai'i.
  • Exceptional command of written English, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Gmail).
  • Experienced in media relations across various platforms in Hawaii.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Experience using project management tools like Asana and Workamajig.
