Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Joint Use Asset Manager to join our team at Hawaiian Electric Company. As a key member of our Pole Infrastructure Enterprise team, you will be responsible for managing the pole attachment and colocation assets, ensuring efficient review and approval of attachment and colocation requests, and achieving goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal departments and consultants to identify assets available for colocation, including small cells, wireline, macro sites, and fiber.
  • Work with Pole Infrastructure Enterprise Administration, Engineering, Telecommunications, Environmental, Construction & Maintenance, Permitting, Substation, Land, Community Relations, Finance, Security and Safety on colocation attachment requests.
  • Manage data systems used for customer data, file transfers, electronic files, and work management, tracking data and progress with various tools.
  • Create metrics and reports to track and monitor progress, and develop strategies, tools, programs, and processes for internal and external customers.
  • Lead change initiatives, including project coordination and management, and serve as a representative on projects with Enterprise Operations.
  • Provide support on unresolved violations and compliance issues, and work with Manager of Joint Use Infrastructure and PIE Leadership team on solutions to resolve 3rd Party Carriers non-compliance and unauthorized attachments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, in business, mathematics, engineering, or similar.
  • Thorough knowledge of the wireless and wireline third party attachment process, macro antenna colocation business model, and project management principles.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, FCC regulations, and distribution poles, including utility space, communication space, 3rd party attachment requirements, and standards.
  • Good working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling processes, and personal computers and/or mainframe systems and related software applications.
  • Thorough knowledge of group dynamics, LEAN continuous improvement principles, SafeStart principles, and Change Management and ADKAR principles.
  • Demonstrated communication, analytical, organizational, and conceptual skills, with ability to work effectively with all levels of the company and outside contractors, consultants, governmental agencies, community groups, and customers.
