Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Utilities Engineer I-Sr. to join our team at Oklahoma State University. As a key member of our Utilities Engineering department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining campus chilled water, hot water, and steam system models, as well as providing guidance on operations and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement campus domestic water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer distribution systems
  • Review drawings and applications from outside sources to ensure compliance with OSU specifications
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to other engineers as needed
  • Develop and maintain system models and provide guidance on operations and maintenance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • One to ten years of engineering work experience, including systems design and modeling, drafting, technical writing, estimating, and project management
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Technologically proficient and able to learn new software as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering
  • Seven years of professional experience in mechanical engineering
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in chilled water or steam systems design and modeling
