POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sports Marketing Coordinator at Babolat plays a vital role in enhancing our brand presence within the competitive landscape of tennis and related sports. This position is essential for supporting grassroots marketing initiatives and managing sponsorship programs across the US market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate closely with the Sports Marketing Manager to cultivate in-depth knowledge of the competitive tennis scene in the US, establishing strong relationships with key players and brand ambassadors.
  • Gain comprehensive insights into the growing sport of pickleball, assisting in the identification of player representatives and supporting promotional activities.
  • Contribute to the collegiate promotions program, ensuring effective outreach and engagement.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and manage order fulfillment for various stakeholders, including juniors, colleges, touring professionals, and academies.
  • Identify opportunities for program enhancements and implement strategies to improve effectiveness and outreach.
  • Travel to approximately 10 events annually to scout talent and support event sponsorships, dedicating up to 8 weeks for travel.
  • Assist in executing marketing initiatives for both tennis and pickleball, including product launches, event logistics, and special promotions.
  • Support the maintenance of the VIP website, ensuring up-to-date information and resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Experience in collegiate tennis is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in the tennis or sporting goods industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated creativity, resourcefulness, and initiative are crucial.
  • Proficiency in database management, internet applications, inventory systems, and word processing software is required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time is necessary.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The targeted hiring range for this position is $50,000 – $60,000 annually, with potential for a 10% bonus based on performance metrics. A comprehensive benefits package is included, featuring medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with employer matching, and disability/life insurance.
