Job Title: Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our team at Northstar Behavioral Health Network. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing individualized therapy, group therapy, and case management services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as case management and crisis intervention services.
  • Document all services provided in accordance with Northstar Behavioral Health Network policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in weekly case staffing meetings and supervision sessions.
  • Provide progress reports to court, Department of Corrections, and other referral sources as requested.
  • Work cooperatively with outside agencies to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements:

  • Valid LADC/ADC-T licensure in the state of MN.
  • At least 1 year of experience in addiction counseling.
  • Comprehensive understanding of MN Statutes related to providing services for individuals with substance use disorders.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite programs.
  • Familiarity with medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder (preferred).
  • Specialty training in DBT-SUD, CBT, MI, or other evidence-based practices (preferred).
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Procentive (preferred).
