Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative III to join our team at Tenet Healthcare. As a key member of our Patient Access department, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and financial clearance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Financial Clearance: Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and financial responsibility to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, addressing their concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Medical Necessity and Insurance Verification: Conduct thorough medical necessity checks and verify insurance coverage to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Revenue Cycle Management: Analyze and resolve revenue cycle discrepancies, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Collaborate with department leaders to identify process improvements and implement changes to enhance patient access operations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related field; 2+ years of experience in Patient Access preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills; proficiency in software systems and equipment; knowledge of hospital environment and regulatory requirements.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent prolonged standing, sitting, and walking. Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 25 pounds may be required. The work environment is hospital administration, with potential exposure to life-threatening patient conditions.
