Position Overview:

The Craft Cocktail Specialist will thrive in a bustling, upscale bar, showcasing their mixology skills while delivering outstanding service. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, organization, and executing preparation tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests warmly, establishing a friendly and inviting bar atmosphere.
  • Craft and serve a diverse array of beverages, from classic cocktails to innovative drinks.
  • Engage with patrons to offer personalized recommendations and insights about the drink menu.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of cocktail recipes and presentation techniques to ensure high standards.
  • Prepare and present drinks according to established guidelines and quality benchmarks.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized bar area, ensuring all tools and glassware are sanitized and ready for use.
  • Restock supplies proactively, ensuring all ingredients are available throughout service.
  • Operate bar equipment competently, including blenders and cash registers.
  • Accurately process drink orders and manage transactions efficiently.
  • Utilize upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and promote featured beverages.
  • Assist with inventory management, monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless coordination of orders.
  • Adhere to all regulations regarding alcohol service, including verifying guest identification.
  • Follow health and safety protocols, ensuring proper handling and storage of beverages.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of bartending experience in a craft cocktail environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of mixology, including both classic and modern cocktail techniques.
  • Strong familiarity with various alcoholic beverages, including wines and spirits.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to connect with guests in a friendly manner.
  • Professional appearance and attention to detail in drink preparation.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience with POS systems and basic math for order processing.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining composure and efficiency.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Knowledge of wine pairing is advantageous.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as necessary.
  • Problem-solving skills and sound judgment in decision-making.
