Location: Santa Clara (Requires travel to Southern California)

Note: Candidates must be willing to relocate and travel frequently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the upkeep and repair of light-duty or commercial vehicles.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with diagnostic software tools for vehicle fault identification.
  • Have a solid understanding of hybrid and electric powertrain principles.
  • Exhibit hands-on experience in testing and diagnosing fuel cell, electric powertrain, or internal combustion engine systems.
  • Hold a Class A CDL to facilitate on-road evaluations of Fuel Cell Systems.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Fuel Cell System Field Service Engineer and issues related to deployed Fuel Cell Systems and Hydrogen Storage Systems.
  • Conduct testing of Fuel Cell Systems and Hydrogen Storage Systems in vehicles, document results, and relay findings to the fuel cell development team.
  • Work in partnership with the Fuel Cell System Field Service Engineer and the Vehicle Aftersales and Service Team to enhance vehicle uptime.
  • Assist in the formulation of service processes and testing protocols for Fuel Cell Systems and Hydrogen Storage Systems.
  • Provide updates on Fuel Cell Systems and Hydrogen Storage Systems status to the Vehicle Aftersales and Service Team.

Service and Maintenance:

  • Perform service and maintenance tasks on customer vehicles as needed, which may include after-hours work.
  • Guide contract service technicians in executing Fuel Cell and vehicle service tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Fuel Cell System Field Service Engineer to develop and maintain a comprehensive service toolkit for Fuel Cell Systems.
  • Support development vehicles in various testing environments.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% may be necessary.
