Job Title: Behavioral Resource Technician

Baystate Health is seeking a part-time Behavioral Resource Technician to join our Emergency Department Team in Springfield, MA.

Job Summary:

A Behavioral Resource Technician is responsible for providing close observation of patients, ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience working with behavioral health patients and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide close observation of patients, intervening as necessary to ensure their safety.
  • Document patient status every 15 minutes.
  • Communicate patient information and observations promptly to the RN.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, feeding, and toileting.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, identifying and reporting any safety hazards.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of relevant patient care experience, preferably in behavioral health.
  • CPR certification through American Heart Association.
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 6 months of employment.
