Job Title: Military and Family Life Counselor - Child and Youth Behavioral

Leidos is seeking a licensed behavioral health professional to join our Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) Child and Youth Behavioral team to support Joint Base Lewis McChord near Tacoma, Washington.

About the Role:

This is a 9-month school calendar position that will reflect the school calendar you would support. As a Military and Family Life Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of military service members and their families as they navigate the challenges of military life.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide non-medical support to eligible faculty, staff, parents, children, and youth through counseling, consultation, and outreach.
  • Work at school(s) populated by military youth and teens, observing, participating, and engaging in activities with youth and/or teens.
  • Offer presentations to address social skills development and social emotional learning crucial for youth and teenage development.
  • Build rapport with parents and families by attending installation and community events.
  • Help with transition adjustments, such as a new school and a new home.
  • Participate in regular in-service training or other contract activities as assigned.
  • Communicate information regarding trends and issues at assigned installation to Team Leads.

Requirements:
  • A master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
  • Licensure to practice at the independent practice level (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist) in any US State.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active passport that is good for 6 months after the end of the assignment.
  • Must be able to pass a basic background check for employment, a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance, commonly called a Public Trust clearance.

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
