Job Summary

The Site Safety Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and clients on environmental and engineering projects. This position requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Safety Plans

Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans for environmental and engineering projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and industry standards.

Conduct Site Safety Analysis and Inspections

Conduct regular site safety analysis and inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.

Lead Safety Training and Education

Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and clients, ensuring they understand and comply with safety protocols and regulations.

Investigate and Resolve Safety Incidents

Investigate and resolve safety incidents in a timely and effective manner, ensuring that root causes are identified and corrective actions are taken.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and operations staff, to ensure that safety protocols are integrated into project planning and execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 Years of Relevant Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in overseeing health and safety operations in conjunction with environmental investigation and remediation projects.

OSHA and HAZWOPER Training

OSHA and HAZWOPER training, with a minimum of 30 hours of formal safety training per year for the past 5 years.

Strong Analytical and Communication Skills

Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate safety protocols and regulations to employees and clients.

Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
