Clinical Pharmacy Assistant

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Cooper University Health Care. As a Clinical Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of medications, including IV medications, under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Prepare medications, including IV medications, under the direct supervision of the pharmacist
* Restock Automated dispensing devices
* Restock Carousals
* Fill Floor stock requisitions
* Complete expired medication inspections
* Answer phones to assist in dispensing questions
* Ensure all medications are properly delivered
* Break down wholesaler orders and organize storeroom
* Organize bulk fluid inventory
* Functionally use the hospital information systems

**Requirements**

* Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
* High School Diploma or Equivalent required
* Current NJ registration (or eligible on hire)
* Must register with the NJ Board of Pharmacy during the first 10 days of employment
* Must complete the registration with the NJ Board of Pharmacy and become an active registered Pharmacy Technician within 180 days of hire
* Pharmacy Technician National Certification (PTCB) or greater than 10 years hospital or equivalent pharmacy experience required
* Completion of basic pharmaceutical calculations
