Role Summary

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector responsible for conducting inspections and tests on incoming, in-process, and final production components at our Subsea facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of components.
  • Perform hardness testing as required.
  • Execute non-destructive examination (NDE) tasks in accordance with qualifications.
  • Document inspection findings and maintain accurate records.
  • Verify the accuracy of heat codes and Mill Test Reports (MTR).
  • Ensure traceability before product release.
  • Understand and adhere to the Quality Policy and all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
  • Foster professional relationships with machinists, assemblers, test technicians, supervisors, and managers.
  • Assign heat codes to all purchased raw materials and welding consumables, updating records accordingly.
  • Conduct receiving inspections on parts sourced from vendors.
  • Assign heat codes on all job routers.
  • Ensure that dimensions, fit-up, and weld preparations comply with specifications and drawings.
  • Prioritize inspection tasks effectively.
  • Perform calibration tasks and assist in calibration processes as needed.
  • Verify traceability and documentation for semi-finished and raw materials received from internal sources.
  • File Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for any discrepancies and implement corrective actions as directed by engineering.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
  • Comply with the company's QMS procedures.
  • Assist supervisors, engineers, and managers with quality control and assurance tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, symbols, and tolerances.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is essential.
  • Experience in filing NCRs.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Visual acuity testing compliant with ASNT SNT-TC1A standards.
  • Color contrast testing is required.
  • Forklift operator's license is preferred.
