The estimated salary for this role is $52,000 - $62,000 per year, based on experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing examination rooms for patient visits, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Cleaning and sanitizing examination rooms after each use, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
- Interviewing patients to gather medical history and vital statistics.
- Recording patient information, including test results and medication lists, in electronic medical records.
- Performing routine screening tests, such as blood pressure checks and height/weight measurements.
- Assisting physicians during examinations by handing over instruments and providing support.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on clinical care.
- CPR and first aid certification, with a preference for certification as a medical assistant (CMA).
