Critical Care Transport Paramedic

Join Thomas Jefferson University as a Critical Care Transport Paramedic and be part of a team that provides exceptional care to critically ill and injured patients. As a Critical Care Transport Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing advanced life support skills, such as intubation, IV insertion, medication administration, EKG interpretation, and chest decompression, during inter-facility and emergency transports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide care to critically ill and injured patients following JeffSTAT's treatment protocols and standards of care
  • Complete patient care records, detailing patient assessment, treatment rendered during transport, and patient outcome following interventions
  • Provide continuous education to patients and their families regarding the transport process, interventions performed during transport, and events that will transpire when the patient arrives at TJUH
  • Inspect medical equipment for proper functioning at the beginning of each shift and complete ambulance inventory checklist
  • Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital
Requirements:
  • Three (3) years of previous field paramedic experience in a critical care transport program or 911 ALS ambulance service
  • Current medical command in good standing with the Philadelphia EMS Office or another region in Pennsylvania or New Jersey
  • Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University
