Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Transport Paramedic to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a Critical Care Transport Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing advanced life support care to critically ill and injured patients during inter-facility and emergency transports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced life support care to patients during transports, following established protocols and standards of care.
  • Complete patient care records, detailing patient assessments, treatments rendered, and patient outcomes.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding the transport process, interventions performed, and events that will occur upon arrival at the receiving hospital.
  • Inspect medical equipment and supplies, complete inventory checklists, and maintain accurate records.
  • Interact with colleagues, visitors, and other staff in a professional and courteous manner, consistent with the core values of Jefferson Health.
Requirements
  • Current Paramedic (EMT-P) licensure in Pennsylvania.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification in Pennsylvania.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification in Pennsylvania.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification in Pennsylvania.
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification in Pennsylvania.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Three (3) years of previous field paramedic experience in a critical care transport program or 911 ALS ambulance service.
  • Current medical command in good standing with the Philadelphia EMS Office or another region in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to emergency situations. The Critical Care Transport Paramedic must be able to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies, and must be able to work in a variety of settings, including ambulances and hospitals.
