Role Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of machinery, ensuring peak performance. This position involves overseeing quality control processes, conducting tests, and implementing necessary adjustments to reduce waste and uphold product standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform manual labor tasks, including climbing and bending
  • Exhibit a strong record in work ethic, safety practices, performance, and attendance
  • Set up and modify machinery settings to achieve high-quality production
  • Conduct thorough quality control evaluations on produced materials
  • Manage roll changes, machine threading, troubleshooting, and necessary adjustments
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and machinery to ensure a safe working environment
  • Complete production reports and associated documentation accurately
  • Quickly troubleshoot and resolve machinery-related issues
  • Follow guidelines for log saw adjustments, roll changes, and machinery lubrication
  • Regularly lift weights up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
  • Carry out any additional assigned tasks with diligence
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in machine operation is advantageous
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude
