Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fluid Filler Operator to join our team at Publix Super Markets, Inc. in Dacula, GA. As a key member of our dairy manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining fluid filling and packaging equipment, ensuring the production of high-quality products that meet our company's standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and clean fluid filling and packaging equipment to ensure efficient and safe production.
  • Clean the environment of the filling room to maintain a sanitary and organized workspace.
  • Maintain sanitary equipment and environment for the packaging of fluid products.
  • Operate fluid filling equipment at a proficient level, filling products into various containers, including milk, eggnog, fruit drinks, juices, teas, and water.
  • Operate the CIP and COP systems to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment.
  • Operate the floor cleaner and scrubbing equipment to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Disassemble and reassemble fluid fillers and associated equipment for cleaning and maintenance.
  • Responsible for manual and hand cleaning of casers, labelers, conveyors, fillers, filler parts stackers, walls, drains, empty case conveyors, control panels, and any equipment involved in packaging.
  • Operate and maintain equipment of the fluid packaging area, including labelers, conveyors, fillers, casers, stackers, etc.
  • Maintain accurate written production records.
  • Perform laboratory tests and monitor weight control of product.
  • Produce a quality product in a manner that meets Publix and regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Must demonstrate safe working habits.
  • Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently.
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude and demonstrate abilities.
  • Ability to obtain a license and operate a forklift.
  • Must have basic computer skills, including Man Machine Interface (MMI) and data entry.
  • Ability to climb ladders to clean conveyors.
  • Must be able to learn and perform all positions.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player).
  • Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
  • Must have excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Must have excellent safety work habits.
  • Must be willing to assist other team members in other areas.
  • Must be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time.
  • Must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Must possess basic math skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
  • Must show a commitment to Publix and our mission.
