Key Responsibilities- Plan, schedule, and complete tasks to meet service and delivery schedules.
- Assist management with supervision and instruction of aircraft technicians, ensuring proper procedures and techniques are followed.
- Assess strengths and weaknesses of subordinates, providing guidance and growth opportunities to reinforce developmental areas.
- Ensure all required components are ordered for timely availability, sending items out for rework or repair as needed.
- Maintain a current knowledge of Aircraft Service Changes, Customer Bulletins, inspection schedule requirements, and other procedures and publications related to aircraft maintenance and servicing.
- Perform required periodic maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems, demonstrating the ability to consistently perform assigned maintenance tasks within quoted or standard CMP time.
- Perform post and pre-flight inspections, troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions such as fluid leaks and minor structural damage.
- Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment, such as power supply, hydraulic rig, nitrogen filler cart, and oxygen service cart.
- Assist in maintaining work schedules and updating of CMP cards, reviewing work to ensure compliance with Gulfstream Repair Station procedures and FAA Airworthiness Standards.
- Review daily job charging to ensure accuracy of charges to aircraft.
- Advanced knowledge of inspection and heavy maintenance, including aircraft component removal and installation, flight control rigging, engine removal, installation, rigging, schedule and unscheduled inspections, and major or minor sheetmetal/structural repairs or alterations.
- Advanced working knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials, including maintenance manuals, IPCs, and structural repair manuals, service bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, etc.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
