As our Culinary Operations Assistant Manager, you will serve as a representative of the leadership team, showcasing outstanding hospitality for both guests and team members across various areas, including the front of house, back of house, and Coffee Roasting station.

You will play a key role in enhancing team engagement, optimizing productivity, and driving positive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
:
In collaboration with the kitchen manager, you will oversee and assist with all operations, ensuring excellence for your team and guests, which includes:
- Greeting and assisting all guests in an engaging manner with accurate and timely information.
- Providing knowledgeable product/service recommendations and accommodating special requests.
- Managing order guides and deadlines for all ingredients, supplies, and beverages.
- Ensuring proper receiving and stocking of goods while adhering to rotation standards.
- Reducing shrinkage and damage through effective product management.
- Collaborating with the Kitchen Manager and Talent Acquisition to source, select, hire, and train new team members.
- Contributing to the sales and profitability of the department.
- Partnering with the Kitchen Manager to create and manage weekly schedules for team members to ensure a superior guest experience.
- Supporting the kitchen manager in overseeing sales, profitability, and margins.
- Assisting in the creation of food production schedules to ensure compliance with policies and procedures for food safety and quality.
- Conducting weekly inventory reviews.
- Ensuring adherence to cleaning schedules for all areas.
- Maintaining merchandising consistency with plan-o-grams.
- Certifying that equipment is properly maintained and serviced regularly, with timely communication of any maintenance issues.
- Providing weekly feedback to stakeholders on operational performance to facilitate quick adjustments.
- Ensuring team members comply with The Fresh Market standards and policies.
- Upholding safety requirements and protocols, including food safety, in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.

Availability:
:
This position requires flexibility to meet the needs of our stores, guests, and teams, including availability for weekends, days, evenings, and occasional overnight and holiday shifts.

Qualifications:
:
To be considered, you should have at least 3 years of experience as a front-of-house restaurant manager in the retail, restaurant, or hospitality sectors. You must possess strong oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with your team, management, and guests. A high school diploma is required, and candidates must be at least 18 years of age (19 in certain states). A passion for preparing delicious, healthy, and safe food, along with high standards for food quality and customer satisfaction, is essential. Knowledge of local, state, and federal food and health department regulations is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
:
A bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Nutrition, or Hotel/Restaurant Management is highly desirable, along with experience in retail, culinary, or grocery settings. Familiarity with production planning software is a plus.

Physical and Work Conditions:
:
The role involves repetitive hand/arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching, and the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently. Exposure to extreme temperatures is expected. You will be required to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours or as required by law) and wear approved headgear and personal protective equipment.
