We also pride ourselves on our state-of-the-art facility dedicated to crafting fresh salsas. As a rapidly expanding food organization with multiple production facilities, we are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Lead to oversee sanitation operations during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Sanitation Supervisor and Sanitation Manager.
  • Guide and train sanitation staff on established sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
  • Ensure effective communication with upper management and various departments including production, maintenance, quality control, and warehouse.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance by dismantling and inspecting processing and packaging equipment.
  • Be available for overtime and flexible scheduling as required.
  • Lead the sanitation team in prioritizing cleaning tasks based on urgency.
  • Maintain accurate records of all cleaning activities, including the master sanitation schedule.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires standing for the entirety of the shift, with continuous walking and the ability to bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and lift items or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Proper body mechanics are essential to meet the demands of this physically intensive position.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

Required PPE includes sanitation aprons, chemical-resistant gloves, safety glasses, face shields, and rubber, water-resistant, slip-resistant toe-protected boots.

Work Environment:

Expect exposure to warehouse and production settings, including potential exposure to fumes, temperature fluctuations, loud noises, wet conditions, and moving mechanical parts.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a sanitation lead role.
