Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Event Manager to join our team. As the Event Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of events, ensuring they meet the expectations of our clients and guests.

Key Responsibilities

The Event Manager will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with clients to understand their event requirements and objectives
  • Planning and executing all details of events, including weddings, corporate functions, private parties, and community events
  • Coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless event execution
  • Selecting and managing vendors, negotiating contracts, and overseeing delivery of services
  • Developing event timelines and schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Ensuring all events reflect the high standards and unique atmosphere of our beachfront resort
  • Proactively handling any issues or concerns that arise during events, ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Anticipating guest needs and preferences, providing personalized service to enhance their experience
  • Developing and managing event budgets, ensuring events are profitable and within budgetary guidelines
  • Monitoring expenses, reconciling invoices, and providing regular financial reports
  • Assisting with marketing efforts to promote event spaces and packages
  • Participating in site visits and tours for prospective clients
  • Supporting the sales team in generating new business and cultivating client relationships
  • Maintaining accurate records of all events, including attendance, expenses, and client feedback
  • Preparing post-event evaluations and reports to analyze event success and identify areas for improvement
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as an Event Manager or similar role, preferably in a seasonal resort setting
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented approach
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or related field (preferred)
Additional Requirements

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Familiarity with event management software and tools
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  • Passion for delivering memorable guest experiences in a beachfront environment
