The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration seeks a skilled Nursing Assistant-Inpatient Float Pool to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be responsible for providing personal patient care, assisting with diagnostic procedures, maintaining and storing medical supplies, serving as a basic contact for patients and families, and supporting emergency situations. You will also perform post-mortem care, assist in admission processes, and conduct hourly observation rounds on patients. Your work schedule will include three twelve hour shifts weekly, one eight hour shift every other week, rotating weekends and holidays.

To be successful in this role, you must meet the qualifications listed below. These include one year of specialized experience as a NA or experience in another medical field, or successful completion of 2 years above high school in an accredited institution with courses related to nursing care, healthcare or in a field of study appropriate to the specialization of the position. Additionally, you must demonstrate the necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) to provide a range of patient/resident care and contribute to the completion of the nurse care plan and recovery of patients/residents. Education: A transcript must be submitted with your application if you are basing all or part of your qualifications on education.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $31,840 - $41,392 based on GS-03 to GS-05 level.
